About Zahra

I started as an investigative journalist, which turns out to be the best possible training for content strategy. You learn to ask uncomfortable questions, find what’s actually going on beneath the surface, and say it plainly.

Over 18 years I’ve moved across journalism, editorial leadership, and digital strategy. I co-founded QZ Global, where I lead content strategy and business development for clients across the UK, US, Middle East, Canada, and Pakistan. Before that I spent years as Editor and Head of Content Strategy for a technology publication, building systems that made content actually perform.

My work now focuses on SEO, search intent, and brand positioning, specifically the gap between what a brand says and what its audience actually needs to hear. I work with founders, CMOs, and growing businesses in fintech, tech, SaaS, e-commerce, digital security, health, and professional services.

I also write. Four published books; fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, which means I understand how language works at the level of a sentence, not just a strategy deck.
